Tuition is non-refundable. If a student withdraws from school prior to the beginning of the school year, two months of tuition is non-refundable. If a student withdraws from school once classes have started, tuition up to and including the quarter in which the student withdraws is non- refundable.
Tuition payments may be made over a 12-month payment period, a 2 payment plan or 1 time payment plan. The first tuition payment will be withdrawn on May 10, 2017 for the 2017-2018 school year. There will be a $30.00 fee assessed for Non-Sufficient Funds payable to FACTS. It is mandatory to sign up with FACTS.
Tuition payments must be paid through FACTS. All other fees may be paid through Check, Money Order or Credit Card (see Mrs. Sadler for Credit Card payments).
The base tuition rate for those with a signed Parish Subsidy Grant on file is $4771. The base tuition rate for those not receiving the Parish Subsidy Grant is $5874. Sibling grants, scholarships and other financial aid may apply, so please contact the school office for a breakdown specific to your situation.
Those who claim to be participating Catholic parishioners must have a signed Parish Subsidy Form on file to receive the Catholic tuition rates. You must submit the Parish Subsidy Grant Form to your Pastor. This form is in your registrtaion packet and will be available in the school office.
The VPK portion of the tuition was not determined by Escambia County until June. Families must start making payents in May - the payment amount will be adjusted once the subsidy has been determined.
Pre-K is a stand-alone program; students are not eligible for a sibling discount. .

In addition to the ten classrooms for grade Pre-K – 8th, Sacred Heart Cathedral School oversees two classrooms for children who are developmentally delayed. For students enrolled in Morning Star, a program fee of $2000 is assessed in addition to tuition and other fees.
Sacred Heart Cathedral School has a budget of more than $1.4 million with a per-pupil-cost in excess of $5,648. Like almost everything, the cost of education continues to rise: increased teacher salaries and benefits and the cost of textbooks and consumable materials rise yearly. Sacred Heart offers you an affordable Catholic Tuition Rate to educate your child – the difference is made up from other income including the Lucky Hearts Club, Golf Classic and the Great Pumpkin Race. Any family may apply for tuition assistance depending upon their financial needs.
To contribute financial assistance in the operation of schools, local Catholic parishes are providing a grant of $800 per child to those parishioners who are registered and participating in that parish. In addition to living up to some basic Catholic responsibilities, your stewardship, which is the giving of your time, talent and treasure (the support of your parish through reportable income) is seen as your participation in the parish. Review your commitment to and participation in your parish. If you feel as though your family will qualify, then complete and submit the Catholic Parish Participation Grant Application to your parish office for your pastor to sign. Until the signed form is received in the Business Office, you will be charged the full Tuition Rate and once received, the rate will be adjusted. If the grant is not awarded, then you will be responsible for the Full Tuition Rate.
In order to receive the sibling discount, the family must complete the Sibling Grant Application, which is available in the school office.
This is a private foundation for needy children enrolled in elementary Catholic schools. Sacred Heart Cathedral School is notified in March if we will be eligible to participate in this program. Please contact the school office for an application. The deadline for applying for this grant is usually in May of each year. This grant money is not distributed until after September 1st you will need to pay the full monthly tuition amount until your grant is approved and then the school office will reduce your payments accordingly. Students in Pre-K and Kindergarten are not eligible for these funds.
If money becomes available through the Diocese, an ethnicity report will be printed via the information we have available on PowerSchool. The award money will be divided among those students who have indicated Black or Native American Indian on their registration form.
This scholarship is one of the Corporate Tax Scholarships available in Florida. It is based upon income eligibility and the student must be entering Kindergarten or 1st grade or must have attended the entire previous year in a Florida public school to qualify for 2nd thru 8th grades. The State will determine how much money to be distributed. If you were on this scholarship last year, you MUST go online to re-new beginning mid- February. New applications will be available beginning March 1st of each year. If you need help applying for this scholarship, please call the school office at 436-6440.
This scholarship is for students with a diagnosed learning disability. They must have attended the entire previous year in a Florida public school and have been eligible for services to get this scholarship. Scholarship notification comes from the Escambia County School District. At Sacred Heart, McKay Scholarship students may attend our Morning Star Program but are not eligible to register in the regular classroom setting unless the disability is solely related to speech. The Diocese will automatically re-new your child if they are currently enrolled in the Morning Star Program or Sacred Heart School and plan to re-enroll next year.
Organized through the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, eligible families will be offered funding based on the criteria established by the society. Please request the application form from the principal.
For families showing financial need or should a change in economic status occur during the year (i.e. business closing due to oil spill, etc.) help with tuition may be available. Please request a Scholarship Application from the Principal, complete and return to the principal. You will be notified within 7 days if you are being provided with additional funds.
